In August 2000 we met Kari Auerbach in cyberspace. When Zuss went to visit New York City in October that same year, we could finally meet her face to face; and instantly we loved each other. This meeting immediately resulted in working together; at the Jersey City Art Tour and at the National Arts Club in NYC.

Hell's cherub Kari Auerbach was born in Poe's hometown of Baltimore, and grew up all over the world. She made her first jewelry covertly while working the counter of a cruise ship gift shop. Using the detritus of the shop, she emptied 'crack-looking' glass vials and transformed them into earrings.
Once ashore in New York City, she toiled in an old-school apprenticeship as a Seventh Avenue costume jeweler's assistant, all the while creating her own designs on the side, which she soon sold in street fairs. Highly wearable art jewelry that ranges from the everyday to the exquisite.
Kar5 is becoming well known for a strong look that is distinctively urban. She acquired such a following that three years ago she opened Mayhem, a collective she runs with two other beautiful cherubs: another jewelry designer and a purveyor of second-hand furniture. Check her out at kar5.com!
Quote Kari:
Awwww!
I KNEW the 3 of us would work together in some capacity someday, because it is almost impossible to be so like-minded and have SUCH a common bond and NOT influence one another/ work together in some way!
I am so proud to do your logo and I think if you want to make some small items like keychains or pendant necklaces on rubber, I will be able to help then too. For now, it is just great to help out 2 of my favorite designers in the world. I am grateful for the opportunity and gratified because you like my work. Thank you...it is such an honor!
xxxxxxxxooooooooo,
Kari
