The beads we use on our latest designs are made out of plastic waste, made by hand by the Asaase Aban women from Kumasi, Ghana. Recycling from Africa! Here's some photos!

Zuss was invited to design a hat for Jackie Habets' 5th International Hat Show on Easter Monday (April 13th) at colorful Keukenhof and selected to join the hat shows during the day.
Our hat is Flower Power, which is also the theme of the contest. An international jury will announce a winner and the public can choose the winner of the People's Choice Award.

Three hat shows are scheduled and there are several exhibitions by top international hat designers and winning designs from the past editions. Just to see what we are talking about, here's an impression of what was to be seen at the 2007 catwalk. Queen of Spades was our design.
If you're a hat lover, Keukenhof is the place to be on April 13! Let's meet!

New photographs of the Ash nazg durbatulûk top, X-ray skirt and a Holga of the 1001 Nights top. Ohh, and... our new Flower Power hat. That one's not for sale (yet). It will be auctioned on Easter Monday at Keukenhof after the shows.

She's gorgeous, she's really nice and has a bellybutton piercing that we had not seen before. But don't let that distract you. Let's start with a hat that we still had not found a face for.. Flower.
Now take a sip, lean back and look at the Blow My Whistle top. Not really new, but it still wasn't on this site.
The eye catching Love Is a Belt belt...
There's a pair of gauntlets: Leave Me Alone and three single ones: Hello It's Me, (hold your breath now) Illusion and Shaken, Not Stirred...
Are you still there? Take a sip again.. and please, don't cry..
And there's a long coat that has the wonderful name of Life Is A Circle. It is made of rubber circles and Bertine went round and round in little circles and Arthur loves taking pictures that way so much! Actually he does it all the time, because he feels that is what it's all about; stopping it, but not quite. Life can't hold still, not for the shortest moment you can think of. Life Is A Circle. And thank you, Bertine!

Zuss was one of the designers who were invited for the Keukenhof International Hat Contest 2007 - organised for the 4th time by Jackie Habets, where top designers from all over the world exhibited creations inspired by the Royal Hats theme.
Between dozens of designer hats the international jury decided to honour our Queen of Spades hat with the fourth prize. Fourth! Wow! Now what's next? Crown princess Maxima wearing a Zuss?

If you've been here before you probably know our bags never had a real name. We simply called them No Name followed by a number. One two twenty. Well not anymore. We 'renamed' them all. So if you ever bought one, go and see. Your bag has a name now.
At the same time we added seven new ones. Well, eight, actually, but that one was sold before we could even take a decent picture... recycled rubber bags.

Hatlovers... these are for you:
Queen of Clubs - a charming feathered hat. Feathered art. Rubber and feathers.
Sting - a stunning mask hat. Please take it off before you go to work...
And then there's the Dream Catcher top hat - now, this really is a surprise. You won't fit in your car anymore but you will look great on stage or on a party and even on a cemetery...
Hey, need a new skirt? Pirouette weighs a little more than your averige tutu, but that will keep you centered... Or take a look at the new picture of the Wink at the Past kilt.

Gallery K.I.S. (Kunst in Serie = Art in Series) makes exhibitions and manages interior design and applied arts. On 200 square metres they offer all kinds of design, originating from interior designers and furniture designers, artists, architects and autodidacts. There are only a few galleries in the Netherlands which have interior design. Gallery K.I.S. is a place who shows you the top of the bill, national and international.
And as of today, there is also a selection of our artwork at this wonderful place. When you're in Amsterdam one of these days you might want to take a look. We are there until Christmas.

Chronologically we're a bit off here.. this happened last February and should be at the bottom of this page, but the photos disappeared while they were beamed to our mailbox a while ago. Maybe hijacked by someone who loves chocolate even more than we do..
Anyway, we have new photos now and we're glad to announce, from Madison, Wisconsin: RUB.
Photos of a performance by Christine Olson, done in chocolate and flour with performers wearing Zuss rubber gorgets.
RUB was part of the HIVE show and took place in a vacant 1970's office floor with live performing guest artists Kate Mura and Christee Koberle.
We have seven pages with photos by Christine Olson at our Shows & Events section. Don't touch the performers.

Just one picture for now, unscrupulously borrowed from the Festival Globalisering website. The models from Anka Models on the catwalk.
Krijnie's daughter Corina stood in front of the catwalk to shoot them all. Freeze! she said. Slicing time with a camera. Pictures by Corina..

Hey, new stuff has arrived! And it's too much to tell funny, crazy and stupid stories about. You would never reach the end of it. So we decided to put a simple list here. So, here's the simple list of new things.
Two lovely hats. No, a hat and a cap.
Two tops. No, one top, one waist cincher.
Four bags. Some are small, but they all look great.
Three bracelets and an upperarm. Armwear.
Two collars. The pictures aren't that good, but you can easily recognize them..
NEW for Zuss.. belts. We've put nine of them here in their own section of our gallery.
Last but not least, an expensive vest. Modelled by Arjan. He is not The Last Hippie. He is extraterrestrial, actually.
[Edit: we replaced the picture of Arjan with one from tattooed Arnoud.]
