OUR GATHERINGS

Moon of the Awakening, May 7th, 2001

The Moon of the Awakening is about the juices of new life which are flowing unstoppable these days. And our circle's life is also flowing unstoppable; and where do we want to grow to?
We also talked about the necessity of rituals and how they capture our attention for the things we find important.
Since a long time we had a full circle!
Our theme was 'trust' again, and how fragile this force is and how strong it can be when we can trust each other. We decided to pick the theme 'archetypes of Goddesses' next time, to learn which archetypes are working in our circle.

Next moon is the Grass Moon, on the 6th of June and we will gather at Shireen's place.

Moon of Death, sunday, April 8th, 2001

This moon, which we celebrated on Sunday the 8th of April, is about the harsh reality of life: the young life, just peaking above the ground, is not always strong enough to cope with the sometimes freezing cold and storms of the spring and they need our protection and help.
We talked a lot about our children that evening and how they need us! Our children are all adolescents now, and sometimes they need even more care than the babies.
We also played with the Goddess Cards and talked about food and soulfood.

Moon of the Longest Night, tuesday, Januari 9th, 2001

This Gathering we started with the four of us at Christ@'s: Shy, Annelies and Agaath. Marijke and Jeanette joined us in the last hour.
This Moon is about cleansing and a new start. A lot has happened since our "Breast-Taking" experience a moon ago.
Last time we got the Tarot Card 16, The Tower as a group card, which means major, sudden changes. Last moon one of our couples broke up because the man fell in love with her best friend, also a member of the tribe. And this night we talked and shared a lot about how we feel about all this: how women can stand up for each other or not, about the pain for this woman; the loss of two people at the same time, how to handle this, how to comfort her.
Love grows in strange ways, you cannot help that, but the way we handle it is so very important! We experience a loss of trust in our friends, which has to be rebuild.
So, we confirmed each other: when we develop feelings for some one else's partner: back off! or at least talk about it!
Next moon: Thursday 8th of February: the Icemoon.

Excuse us for not updating our gatherings in the website, but we want to better our lives!
We had our gatherings, but failed to write them down, because we were all too busy.

What happend last time during the moon of the longest night

We decided to meet with a couple of witches to celebrate that after the longest night the light will win again. The tarot cards were so great, for each of us!
And we also made up a new poster; which was really fun to do! Tonight, 22 december at 12.00 we're going to glue them all through the city!

The last one of 1999... Moon of the Longest Night

The tree connected to this moon is Betula, characteristic is cleansing and a new start.
She will rise at the 7th of december and will be full 22 december.

Next... the Bloodmoon

The Bloodmoon rizes at 8th November and is full 23rd of November.
The connected tree is Sambucus and the characteristic is to survive through the winter.
The sambucus represents the dark aspect of the old and wise woman, who decides over life and death.
Sometimes she protects and sometimes she takes life.

The Huntmoon... 24th of october

We celebrated Ann-brooms 40th birthday with the whole tribe instead of just the witches.
The Huntmoon's characteristic is transformation: the transformation from grain to bread and from grapes to wine.Bread and wine symbolize the unity of the god and godess.
The tree connected to this moon is the Vitis vinifera.

Next time... Harvestmoon, saturday 25th of september 1999

Harvestmoon (sept-oct), connected tree=Malus; characteristic=inmortality.
Harvest is essential: the harvest will give us the seeds for next year. The apple is a beautiful example if you cut it across: the 5 corners of the pentagram are symbolic for the four elements: water, air, earth and fire. The fifth element is the spirit who connects them all.

Next time... Moon of Lightning; friday 27th of aug. 1999

The tree connected to this moon is the Corylus, characteristic=wisdom.
This moon will bring us in Europe also a full solar eclipse, and also a lot of comets, that night.

We wish to go to the Normandy beach, France, the 11th of august, with a couple of witches and friends, to celebrate this event with eachother and lots of other people!
Please mother nature, show us your wisdom, the spiritual harvest!

What happend during the Moon of the Rose

Amazing! Life is unpredictable, indeed!
We decided to celebrate this moon outside on the beach, we made a circle and a fire.
But during this night; in the spirit of sacrifice, most witches wanted to sacrifice the form (our circle) but keep our content together.
We did use the tarot.
So, what is the future going to bring? I honestly do not know...
If you have any questions about this, feel free to write us! I do know that mother nature will bring us the next moon.

Next time... Moon of Rose

Moon of the Rose will rise on 13th of july and will be full on 28th july, 12:26 hours, tree=Ilex characteristic=sacrifice.
This moon of the Rose witch Jeanette will host the evening in her residence.

We have a couple of rituals we always do.

The sisters couldn't be persuaded to go outside and make a fire.........
We did use the Tarot.

What happend last time during Plantmoon

Monday, 28th of june, 22:39 hours, tree=Quercus, characteristic is destination.
During this gathering we decided to make some changes in our gatherings. For instance, we will use different locations with every moon, and we start our gatherings earlier in the night. The witch who is the host for that night, will offer a circle and content of the present moon.
We hope it will bring more life and involvement to the witches.

Celebrating the Snow Moon

This moon, who teaches us about germinative power of nature, we celebrated at Katinka's house. She made a tasteful witches cauldron for us all.
After that we enjoyed each others company and talked about a lot of things. The meaning of the Snow moon is, like you can plant many seeds, but not all seeds have the power to develope into full growth.
Just like our ideas: not every idea comes to full growth, so this is the time to look at your plans and ideas and keep the ones who have the power, and let go the others.

The Moon of Death

The Moon of Death has nothing to do with new developements, but with protection and guiding of those things that are going on allready and are vulnerable.
This time Shireen was our host and we enjoyed a very nice meal together.
It was also her idea to take a closer look at humour in our lifes, and we laughed the night away!

Moon of the Awakening

At this time in nature, life is unstoppable! The juices flow, everything grows.
The host this gathering was another friend, Petra. We used the Goddess cards this time, instead of the Tarot, which was very refreshing for us.
